| Connecticut- ProNet World Tour Mid Sept 2003 | | | Since we left, we've flown North East for another 900 miles to Oakville, Connecticut. The new pilot at the controls is Erez Eller. It's been over three months since leaving Victoria, and we've traveled a total of 8,400 km so far. Our mission in Connecticut is to touch base with the name that started it all, Sikorsky Helicopters, located in Bridgeport. Here we are inbound to the famous Sikorsky Button, where the biggest and best have touched the same tarmac as we are about to do ... | | | | | | | No Problem for us to land inside that Sikorsky Insignia, for that mandatory Photo Op, as you can readily see. We have tons of room ... Wot? me worry? No way! We just had to do this. the smallest and the biggest meet inside the circle. Such graphic symbolism is not lost on the ProNet World Tour Team. | | | | | | | | | Erez then took us over to the NEAT fair in Downsville, New York, where we dropped off at the Castle Creations Booth to meet Shawn Palmer. For those who have been following the ProNet, you will know that we are using a Castle Creation's Phoenix 10 as the current ESC for the Hacker. This is full circle closure for Sean who shipped it to us last May as an upgrade. | | | | Formalities over, we head out to Erez's pad for some informal party time. In case you didn't know, Erez is an Engineer working for Sikorsky, so his interest and knowledge about this Heli stuff is much more than a passing fancy. Thanks Erez, for showing us around your State, and getting us shoulder to shoulder with the really big guys.. It couldn't have happened with out you! | | |
