| California - ProNet World Tour, July 12 2003 |  | | Click here for the Queen Mary Video Since leaving Victoria in June, ProNet has travelled 2,200 km, and has safely arrived in California. We kept the 'land on our left' all the way down the coast from Clover Point Victoria Canada, and it worked out fine. Seems fitting that we took off with a tanker in the background out of Victoria, and arrive in California with the Queen Mary on our starboard. It's so good to have made it in one piece, and we've never been to Hollywood. The new Pilot in Command, and our Host in this fabulous part of the state will be Steve Campbell of DreamHobbies. He took over from Dana, (the Old Man) who guided us out of Clover Point, way up North. | | Pinch me. Here we are cruising by Hollywood, on our way to actually landing in California. We definitely need to get a chance to drop by the Walk of Fame, once we get thru Customs and the like. Now, with our VFR maps, we have to find Steve's new place, get sorted out for the local stuff, as the Packs are getting low, and we've been on the airways for a month. | |  | | | | |  | | What an arrival. Steve has the social agenda pretty full. Pictured here is the little ship nestled under the boom of big brother, waiting its turn for a local flight at CHAPS (Carson Helicopter Associated Pilots) in Carson, at the annual fun fly. Nice folks here, and a great trip so far. | | | | | | Arriving In California Video | | And back in the air for a shakedown flight after the Radio and Tx changeover. It's Steve at the controls for this flight, in a right ribbon flappin' gale. To set this video up for you, Steve only had an 8 Cell NiMH pack with him, way less than the design, which is based on LiPo ETec 1200's because the tail fan has a 10V motor. You'd never know it tho.
